Tune: Passion Chorale
('O sacred head, sore wounded')
1 Peter 2 v.21-25
**********
Christ did in His suffering
Us an example bring
That we should his steps follow
He suffered, this we know
But did no sin, and neither
Was deceit found either
In His mouth, His words sinless
His mouth did speak to bless
Who when He was here reviled
Reviled not angry, wild
In return, and when suffered
No threatenings were heard
From Him, but He committed
Himself to Father's stead
He who judges righteously
All of humanity
Christ, He Himself our sin bore
In His own body sure
On the tree, the cross, that we
Being dead to sins, see
Should live unto righteousness
And too that we confess
By His stripes, wounds, we are healed
As He His life did yield
For you were as sheep going
Astray, lot in each thing
But are now returned unto
The Shepherd, Him you view
Shepherd, Bishop of your souls
Who does make each one whole
The Overseer, guardian
Safe we in Him, each one

Amen.
Thanks 2781.
Morning!
Thanks for looking in Lorna.
The aim of many causes the reviling and yet the wholeness is real.
Thanks CB.
my friend Clive was a shepherd .. he suffered a lot of embarrassment because his elder brother was a crook ..
Thanks N. lol.
Peaceful and very reassuring, if only others would heed the words to not judge and be kind and giving, he would not have to go so far to gather his sheep.
Thanks SB.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
