Pomegranate

Parisab

I’ll pick those red round things with the ruby seeds inside.

I’ll want your breath, warning me to doubt my wishes

I’ll take that pomegranate from the tree.

Look! It’s dancing with the wind as it sheds all its orange blossoms!!

My friend tells me it will heal us and will free us from boredom.

I’ll even dance for you to make you look, when the sky leaves us for the sun.

I dreamt that it will doom us, but we’ll wake up in each other’s arms.

I want you and I want it all!

The wind carries the words of liberation.

Let’s blame it on the wind.

Let shame fulfill us with the scent of pomegranates!

Pomegranates are the sexiest of fruits. Your whole poem is full of heavy serious joy. This is a grown-up ode by a creative soul.

So the title caught my attention, and the content justified and exonerated it. Abstract in form, subliminal and attractive in color. A picture worth every second of deserved admiration. 🙏🏼

Great work. Strange, I always thought the pomegranate was a sensual fruit. Something about those seeds. Well crafted and powerful.
