And then he was a kid
The little child that never fit
And even though he really tried
He never did
'The world's not meant for you, my son'
Being himself
He tried to quit
But never could
So never did
'They'll never see you as you are
You must learn to compete'
He really tired
He really did
Looked at the sky
Where galaxy's heart beat
It says
'You'll never be complete
Until you learn to fight
And fit'
He really tried
He did
He did!
And once
For a split second
(Felt like weeks)
Tempered his greed
To become the guy
He'd never meet
He dropped his eyes
To see the shadow
Of the seed
That bore his name
'My sun
One day you'll treat
Yourself like you deserve exist
And even if world's not for you
You are who you're supposesed to be
The sun
The seed
The man
The boy
That never fit'
And once he moved his feet
The shadow moved with him
And somehow he did fit.

- Comment from author about the poem: I\\\'d say this poem is mostly about finding your place in the world and the importance of also finding your so-called mentor or a supporter, even if your only mentor and supporter is yourself. \r\nI wrote it last summer by the end of a vacation that is still one of the happiest memories of my life. I feel like that\\\'s the reason for this poem being so \\\'light\\\' unlike my other writing usually being agressive or depressing or both, at the same time. The end of last summer was also the time I temporarly got out of my depression so that makes sense. (Now it seems like I am oversharing on the poetry website but whatever)

Enticed to read it twice. Nice angles dome gentle and a few w an edge as if to say the path may match the phrase.
