Now since the first Easter morn - Alleluia!
Humankind may be reborn - Alleluia!
Born of the Spirit within - Alleluia!
Forgiven and cleansed from sin - Alleluia!
After Sabbath* some to tomb (*Sunday morning) - Alleluia!
Came, and they saw empty room - Alleluia!
Then great earthquake, an angel - Alleluia!
Descended, tidings did tell - Alleluia!
Angel rolled back stone from door - Alleluia!
Of tomb, Jesus there no more - Alleluia!
His countenance as lightning - Alleluia!
White clothing, good news did bring - Alleluia!
For fear of him keepers there - Alleluia!
At tomb did shake and despair - Alleluia!
They became as like dead men - Alleluia!
But Jesus had risen then - Alleluia!
Angel to women did say - Alleluia!
Fear not, I do know this day - Alleluia!
That you seek Jesus, though He - Alleluia!
Crucified, now risen be - Alleluia!
Come, see place where He did lay - Alleluia!
But not here for ever stay - Alleluia!
For He goes to Galilee - Alleluia!
And sure you shall there Him see - Alleluia!
So they left tomb, quickly sped - Alleluia!
To announce Jesus not dead - Alleluia!
Bringing His disciples word - Alleluia!
Of the message they had heard - Alleluia!
