Restoring Requests

orchidee

Tune: Coe Fen

('How shall I sing that majesty')

Psalm 80 parts

*******

Turn us again, Lord, us restore

E'en to earth's farthest shore

Cause your face to shine here and so

Salvation we shall know

Give ear, Shepherd of Israel

Your leadings shall not fail

They are your flock, you do them feed

And attend to their need

You who dwell between cherubims

Shine forth, each to you hymns

A song of praise and worship too

Come to us, us renew

Stir up your strength, us come and save

The way to life you pave

Cast us not off, we look to you

To save sure not a few

The vineyard which your right hand strong

Had planted all along

And the branches, shoots, all you made

Through you they were firm, staid

But now it is with fire burned

Israel not to you turned

But they perish at your rebuke

A state bereft, forsook

Yet come save us, Lord, we do pray

And bring salvation's day

The Son of Man He shall prosper

He shall to your will stir

So then we will no more go back

Desire for you not lack

Quicken, revive us by your grace

And we shall seek your face

Another nice write Orchidee. Although not religious I loved the lines: "You who dwell between cherubims Shine forth, each to you hymns A song of praise and worship too Come to us, us renew" They gave a wonderrful feeling to them.

Great use of u’s, and it’s not even about you!

Thanks JM. I saw subtitles using 'u's. They did not say 'you two', but said 'youse'. That's neither American or UK!
