A "Fab" Four

AuburnScribbler

There’s nothing like a re-write,

where man thinks they’re God,

impurities do cloud the light,

no need for fishing rod,

as in water, they be monsters,

that climb up welcome spout,

then they bow to mobsters,

that make a wholesome drought,

the fields are empty too,

a crop and tractor theft,

they beat their neighbours black and blue,

to leave all kin bereft,

cities blare out their song,

everyone, has to be busy,

to make a right, look so wrong,

stability is dizzy.

  • Comment from author about the poem: If humanity had a report card, it would most definitely read "must do better!" However, is it in our innate nature to be better, or to simply just do? Regardless, every time you tune in to the news, another manmade catastrophe is born, and to me, it massages more despair in me, eroding the positivity that mankind could provide instead. Here is a sarcastic, quickly written poem called "A "Fab" Four, saying how much of a "grand job" we're doing as a species. I hope that you enjoy the poem, I really do hope we do better, by getting rid of morally bankrupt leaders, and just trying our best to be as good as we can, and as always, please do stay safe everyone!

Nothing quite like it really, always re-writing, re-spinning, re-inventing, and rehashing revisionist narrative. A grad delusion that sometimes is encouraged by its very victims.

Thanks for the read crypticbard, and yeah you've got it, a constant serving and consumption of the same gruel, if life is a workhouse, most of us are Oliver Twists, and certain Mr. Bumbles will unfortunately exist.

I hope that all is well!
