SHIPWRECK NEAR MERMAN COVE

Nothing

My dearest, the best that was and is to be.

Am I enough a man to pay the fee

The price it cost to be close to thee

Through fire and storm I risked through the maze

To find pleasure as I stood before your gaze.

Ah but it all means nothing.

You're an illusion.

A unwanted seed planted that grew into am abominable tree which I cut down.

Alas the stump is almost impossible to remove

and weeds and shrubs sprout amidst.

Be gone from me!!!!! I tire of thee.

You choke plants that grow among the deserts of my heart.

Singing chants and melodies.

Voices like harps in a minor scale.

Enthralling, demanding my time as I stand affixed.

Waiting for you to draw near.

I break your spell, sea serpent.

Your notes are irritating to me.

But why? Why do I blame you?

Hunters usually do not know their prey by name

neither do the fisherfolk draw in their

nets to behold fishes from childhood.

You set a trap and I walked into it.

A fool I have been.

How wrong I have been.

Perhaps the greatest folly I committed.

All knowledge is nothing if it brings no addition in practice.

My left arm seems weak.

It will be strong.
