Midnight Flight

Parisab

Once I drink from the milky moon

And my wings flap, steadfast

Once I hover around to hear life

But silence between each flight feels flat

I only resist to close the curtains

My eyes widen, resisting darkness

Restless I dance to feed from the earth’s synergy

Like giving birth to infinity

We visit our great visits,

but we all must go

We’re merely guests

and the night won’t obliterate

That the time is faster than the speed of light

If the perfunctory science that Einstein first felt true as thought experiments before the equations were stamped indelible , this piece danced with its poetic beauty and resonates on many levels. Read it four times and only them timidly attempt to whisper my thoughts.

You are most gracious for giving this a second look-I experimented with writing with delta like brain wave speed (sleep like:)) I get some of the philosophical part about quantum physics, but as the mathematical equation, my brain at most alert, would not grasp-

A wonderfully written piece here Parisab, to me, each word helps to create a beautiful wispy cloud, and when fully formed, the last words of your poem, speak volumes of the unfair swiftness of life.

Bravo, and I hope that all is well.
