Earth Day Poems

Leslie Anne Perry

Our Home

The earth is our home
We must all take care of it
If we don't, who will?

Eco-Friendly Lifestyle

We
Can all
Work harder
At having what
Some people call an
Eco-friendly lifestyle -
One that is in harmony
With the environment; taking
Care of the planet we all call home,
Accepting our responsibility.

The Future

The future
Is up to us.
Will the generations
That follow
Applaud us
For our efforts
Or
Refer to us
With scorn and ridicule
Because of
The mess
We left them?
We can't change
The past,
But
We can impact
The future -
For everyone
Who lives
On this planet.

Don't worry.Covid 19 was just the beginning.Another disaster will wipe out millions of people and the Earth will go back to being beautiful again. You see people are the problem not the solution.
