My life is like the tide, a neverending push and pull between life and death.
And if tonight it shall be ebb forevermore, I shall embrace it brokenly.
The embers of my life grow continuesly frail. The weak body continues, with a mind blossom ceased.
If I lost my way somewhere, please don't follow me on my decent into madness.
The parasite of life leeches onto the strong, tearing them down, until they think giving up is their choice.
The weight of my thoughts chain me.
If everything shall be forgotten about me, just remember me as one who tried.
Rotten thoughts can infect even the most firm of flesh
Watch your thoughts, they become your words, watch your words, they become your actions, watch your actions, they become your thoughts

- Comment from author about the poem: Had a couple of mental breakdowns recently. Here are some thoughts I wrote down when it happend. The last one is a variation of Lao zu, I think.

I used to think knowing truth, awareness of that dangerous place indicated a measure
Of survival instinct to preclude risky action but now Iām unsure cuz some say the familiarity w the syndrome breeds an inviting comfort ability ?!
Hi, thanks for your comment. I personally believe it can be both tbh. On the one hand knowing the risk of i.e depression helps when you're down you know what to avoid, however at times you get so used to the problems and extreme thoughts, that in a way it becomes the new normal.
In the end the lottery of life has given everybody a lot, but you just have to make the best of it.
I like to talk to my friends and to be open with my issues. Because it is okay to ask for help. That doesn't mean you're weak. The opposite is the case, in the situation you're in this might very well be the best you can do right now. It about the path of growth, and not really about where life has put you.
I hope this helped you a bit. š
I salute and appreciate the Thoughtful response. No doubt, you are correct b
