Beloved mother

BS

Carrying the aspirations and hopes

Of the millions down

She flows gently  from the mountains

With a mystic smile

Caring the seekers of truth

Parting without sadness

She flows through the holiness

Of the cities nearby

Purifying the millions Of souls

Both dead and living

And taking the ashes and carcasses

Without any complaint or grudge

Of those who made her filthy and messy

Helping the dwellers and farmers

Through her way down

Feeding the cattles and humans

With all her strength and power

Till she reaches the ocean

Oh mother Ganges

We owe you beyond words
