Tune: Savannah
('Loves' redeeming work is done')
1 Corinthians 15 v.54-58
********
Death swallowed in victory
At last day fulfilled shall be
Thean saying, O death, where be
Your sting? Grave, where victory?
Sin it be of death the sting
Law, strength to sin it does bring
But thanks to God, who does give
Us the victory, we live
Through our Lord Jesus, it be
The victory, He Christ, see
Messiah, the Promised One
Here salvation in the Son
Therefore we may be steadfast
Unmoveable, deeds shall last
Abounding in the work sure
Of the Lord, profit e'ermore
For we know that our labour
In the Lord, we do concur
That in Him it not vain be
Has value eternally
