Rain rhythms

G REMADEVI

After summer days,  the clouds gather

Wind stressing the layers move fast

Clouds get ready to descend and pour

Below, the sky is dark and spread so vast

When sleep slowly conquers the eyes

Descending sounds of rain at night,

That cosmic rhythm of falling drops

With breeze come inside, not in sight

Feeling fresh for moving of soothing air

Instead of sighs, the noise of rain hears

Senses calm and sway to sleep in solace

So comfortable, rare moments embraces...

I used to dread rain storms but now appreciate the cleansing and life giving effects they bring. Stay dry!

Really nice. Too many great aspects to list. It felt real and also like an analogous metaphor. So cool
We get to choose. “ instead of sighs “
    “Sway to sleep in silence”
    Very rich Thank you.

I've always loved storms until I didn't, then I remembered what I knew and am back on track.

    (a great write!
    thanks for sharing, dear poet)
    I love driving, playing, walking
    and most especially, sleeping
    in the rain
    'droplets of respite
    drumming windows, to serenade
    invite, that melancholic
    sweet embrace of our worries
    allowing us, moody
    moments of serenity's, reprieve'
