I can’t remember when I lost me to save us

I can’t remember when I loved you more than me

I can’t remember when I saw your value but not mine

I can remember that I loved you over me

I can’t remember when I let you take

I can’t remember when I let you forget

I can’t remember when I let you be more

I can remember that I did

I can’t remember how I let myself be less important

I can’t remember when I allowed you to take that away

I can’t remember when I forgot to appreciate me

I can remember when I said go ahead and erase me

I can’t remember when I stopped loving me

I can’t remember when I said I wasn’t enough

I can’t remember when I forgot to get back up

I can remember when I decided to be fed up

I can’t remember when I laid down to die inside

I can’t remember how I decided it was time

I can’t remember letting you say how long

But I remember when I wanted to live again

I can’t remember when I knew I was more than you said

I can’t remember when I felt my heart beat back alive

I can’t remember when I knew you took what I wanted

I can remember why I am the woman who decides who wins and who falls

I can’t remember how long it’s been

Since I was the woman of worth

I can’t remember when I believed I was strong enough

To raise back up and fight for what I believe in

The poem you've shared conveys a powerful message of self-reflection and empowerment. It speaks to the struggles of losing oneself in a relationship and the importance of rediscovering one's own worth and strength. The repetition of "I can't remember" and "I can remember" creates a sense of contrast and highlights the process of reclaiming one's identity and agency. The use of simple and direct language adds to the poem's impact and makes it easy to connect with on an emotional level. Overall, it's a well-written piece that encourages self-love and self-care.
