('My God, I love thee not because')
1 Timothy 1 part

In following the true teachings
Of Christ, the outcome be
Love from a pure heart so displayed
With graces all arrayed
And love from a good conscience too
His Spirit does renew
And love of faith unfeigned, sincere
Believing in Christ here
From these things some have turned aside
To vain talk, and denied
The gospel truths, though they desire
To teach the law, go far
But they understand not the things
Their supposed wisdom brings
Nor understand affirmations
They make, they are false ones
Paul thanks the Lord for His good grace
Continues, even pace
The Lord enabled Him to share
Gospel with no impair
Did count him faithful, ministry
Did give unto him, see
He obtained mercy, so was shown
A pattern of grace known
A pattern to those who after
Would believe, their hearts stir
To believe on Christ, His life show
Life everlasting know
