Tune: Heathlands
('God of glory, God of grace')
Psalm 64
**********
Hear my voice, Lord, in my prayer
I do know that you ae there
Preserve my life from the fear
Of the enemy, they near
Hide me from secret counsel
That wicked workers do tell
They sharpen tongue like a sword
Bitter words for good [they] reward
That they may, like bow, arrow
Shoot at them, to oppress so
They encourage themselves to
Lay snares, and to evil do
They search out iniquities
Devise evil, say none sees
Their inward thought and heart deep
They do no good in them keep
But God He shall suddenly
Shoot at them, wounded they be
And so their tongue, e'en their own
Makes them stumble as o'er stone
All that see them, all shall flee
And fearing to God shall be
His work they shall sure declare
Show that His doings wise fare
The righteous, they shall be glad
In the Lord, no longer sad
And shall trust in Him always
E'en to light of lasting days
All the upright in heart shall
Glory, His protection tell
