Tune: Juda Maccabaeus

('Thine be the glory')

1 Corinthians 15 v.51-58

*********

Behold, a mystery, we shall not all

Sleep in death, but shall hear resurrection call

And we shall all be changed, in twinkling of eye

In a moment, at last trump, no more to die

Chorus

Where death, your sting? Where grave your victory?

Through our Lord Jesus Christ it defeated be

The trumpet shall sound, and the dead be raised

Incorruptible, we shall be changed, Christ praised

For this corruptible, it must sure put on

Incorruption, Changed to image of God's Son - Chorus

And this mortal must immortality

Put on, so when this corruptible, so be

Has put on incorruption, and this mortal

Has put on immortality, we sing all - Chorus

For then shall be brought to pass saying true

Death is swallowed up in victory, so do

We the chorus repeat, for death's sting it be

Sin, and strength of that sin is the law fully - Chorus

But thanks be to God, He gives victory

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, unto you and me

Therefore be steadfast, unmoveable, abound

In the Lord's work, it in Him vain not be found - Chorus

Your first three words "Behold, a mystery", to all of us. Each in our own fashion believe in something immortal. Good write dear friend.
