Far

 

You will feel discouraged.

You will feel dumb.

Though here’s some food for thought,

Your pain is only numb.

 

I’m now writing this poem,

But these words will only take you so far,

Yes, life feels uneasy,

It feels like you're in tar.

 

I wish I heard these words earlier.

When I really needed them.

Those ones that you blocked.

This I condemn.

 

You have that outer shell,

With your beauty deep inside.

But only when you fight that pain,

will you soar and will you glide. 

 

Kat, start fighting.

You are a star.

Get out of the darkness.

Because…

You’ve made it this far.
