Trusting In The Truth

Tune: Old Yeavering

('Like a mighty river flowing')

Psalm 73 v.16-28 parts

*********

I considered way of wicked

Was too painful for me, I did

Wonder how they prospered daily

And did seem no troubles see

But then I to sanctuary

Of God, His Temple it sure be

I went, and understood the end

Of their state, for God will rend

Rend then out of their place, destroy

Consider their evil plan, ply

I was grieved that I had thought such

That they long should profit much

Nevertheless I am with you

Always, Lord, you hold my hand true

You with your counsel will guide me

And your glory I shall see

Whom have I in heaven but you?

You come to me, strengthen, renew

None on earth but you I desire

Draw near me Lord, be not far

My flesh ans my heart they do fail

But God's strength to me does prevail

He the strength of my heart ever

My portion that fails never

It is good for me to draw near

To God, I shall trust in Him here

he the Lord God, I may declare

All His works, His goodness share
