Mantis Praying
Her smile
gave
nothing away ..
She still
cut his throat
when
the deed was
done ..
First thing
in the morning ..
Before
prayers
of course,
but after she
had taken breakfast ..

Now KP did this accidentally as she was trying to give me a shave. It's not that I won't bore you with the details of it, but that they will be too swoony to mention! lol.
why am I not surprised
Well, she said was an accident, but as I'm so horrible to her......
A haunt of a read Nev but a good reminder that not all smiles are meant to be kind - - shall now watch out more for mantis-types licking their lips before striking.......x
Best to sleep with one eye open & beneath the mattress, just to be on the safe side .. cheers Fay .. x
For sure women can also be violent and dangerous, but interestingly in literature and film they are usually portrayed as the femme fetal sensual types: and their abusive conduct is minimized: thanks for bringing another dimension to this archetype: was this intentional on Motherβs Day:)?
Bless you and truly Parisab .. I am delighted you found time to consider my latest little scribble my friend. .
However, as far as any perceived or possible juxtapositioning against Mothers Day is concerned, no that was not my intention, I merely wanted to emphasise reality as per my own introductory authors note ..
All Good Things, Neville π
Yes I didnβt make any negative connection to the timing-I just found the irony even more appealing about your poem-thank you poet friend.
To much hanky-panky?
That was not the point I was trying to make, but if push came to a shove, then I get your point. Thanks for dropping in .. Neville
(meh
not that deep, me thinks
just going price for good
sex,
nowadays, for those
so desperate, to smile
away
their chosen drug of demise...)
lol
forgive my horribly warped
sense of humour, and
thanks for putting up with me
π
(hope you n yours have a great week)
No apology necessary .. thanks again & you too Mek π
While out cutting my lawn one day, I found a Praying Mantis and found it rather friendly as I picked it up and moved him out of harm's way to a near-by bush. I say "it" because I can't tell the difference between male and female of the species. Well penned my scribble professional friend. π
I admire a guy who considers the feelings of such tiny creatures and their families .. gold star awarded AP .. many thanks for the visit shown here today and the kindness of the past sir .. Neville
And likewise Sir. π
Oh wow cold hearted with a bit of jam sparkling in the corner vertex of poker smiling puckering lips. Perhaps even flicking a lone rose petal on that rapidly cooling corpse while she walks off unhurriedly, the clacking of her heels ringing with the cadence of the Reaper's march.
.................... ouch π
Did KP eat me, as female preying mantis does after.........?. swoon! I read they may behead their male mate even before........
Nope is the answer, cos we never have any 'excitement' Fido says it's not good for KP and I. lol.
if she did, you would be dead Mr. O .. you need to get a life sir ππ§π
I must get out more..... lol.
Good write, Neville.
To never experience afterglow is not pretty indeed.
............................ indeed cheers Jez π
