Joti, a poor Punjabi girl makes her wedding vows.

David Wakeling

By the Moon that reflects in the tranquil waters,
By the Golden Temple of Amritsar ,
I promise myself to you.

Let us face the tigers of doubt that haunt us,
Together we will overcome fear,
Together we will fly.

I will walk with you through darkness,
I will carry the bright light of joy,
That you might not stumble.

Let me prepare a feast of your favourite foods,
Paneer Tikka , Lassi and Dal Makhani,
Let me sustain you.

I am not the richest girl, I am not the smartest bride,
But I have three  true gifts for you,
My heart, My soul and My Love.
