Sans Echo’s

Neville

Sans Echo’s

The acid chronicles went down the wrong way

together with the sycophants,

the plagiarists and the grockle’s n emmet’s ..

But those were the Rayban days

weren’t they, when mascaraed eyelashes were

the rage and reasons were superfluous ..

All I know from this, is that KP flutters her false eyelashes at me, but it don't get her very far.... lol.
I will never unravel the meaning of some poems. Doh!

of that I have no fear or doubt .. besides, its the taking part that counts .. 🐭🐈‍⬛

If I give you details of the 'taking part' you might swoon as well as me! lol.

Living it up on someone else's offer of getting high on acid was the rage but events can leave echoes - - for though heavy mascara has paled we still get throw backs looked at by those who have their personal reasons for hiding behind shades - -- Whoo ! -- am glad that's off my chest before today's chores .........x

I'm glad you got that off your chest too Mistress Fay .. x

One time, I dropped some "acid"....
and it burnt a hole in my bellbottoms.
I was busy at the time trying to "foster grants" to my college fund. Planned on attending UC - Santa Barbara, the best "party school" in America, but Nam got in the way, and I ended up in Montreal. Rented an old mini-van and drove with friends across to Aberta. That's when I heard "Birds singing in the dark- Rainy dawn." Oh yeah, I stole that from Jack Kerouac. I don't know why, but who needs a reason. Live free or die!! - Phil A.

you can beat an egg and a few other things besides, but you just can't beat a good old road trip with friends when there's a crazy war going on in the background can ya .. cheers Phil ☮️🕊️

I could imagine lengthened and 'varnished' lashes gluing themselves to the RayBan lenses... that would be ticklish.

ouch, I imagine that would be an eyesore .. but thanks for taking part CB 🙂

"Sans Echo's" is a captivating poem that offers a critical commentary on the societal values and a bygone cultural climate of era.

'But those were the Rayban days'
                    shades of mercy, granted
                    by societal restraint
                    and a willingness, to offer
                    a consideration
                    to alternate perspectives
                    back, when
                    Shakespeare's poetic genius
                    represented, an echo
                    of that greatness, humanity
                    still dared, to dream
                    and aspire towards, bravely
                    magnificently!
                    (love these worded prayer
and cry for a call to arms
                    for that we witness dissipating
                    within each, sensationalised
                    blinking bulleting of pseudo
                    relevance)

                    • Neville

ahh' but then things were so different back in the day, weren't they .. 🙂
