They say I need to zero, but I need my hero
to help me qualify in this life
My shots are aimless but I'm trying to stay in the center line
But shots are fired everywhere as if I don't care
Well, that's not true I care as much as the grouping
around the dotted line of that diamond
Wow I still haven't zero in yet but
That's okay I Know I will when get a chance
Rounds after Rounds still haven't hit yet
I'm just getting comfortable just wait a minute
The time is coming whether hit or miss
I'm do my best when I zero in

- Comment from author about the poem: I'm be real I wrote this when I was at basic training two years ago, and to be honest during white phase I struggle so badly with zeroing in my weapon. Also it relates to my personal life in other ways as well.

It’s extra cool that a tactile experience applies so readily as a perfect symbolic Column of strength and reference. Love the concept.
