Tune: Monkland
('Songs of praise the angels sang')
Psalm 9 v.13-16
********
O Lord, have mercy on me
Consider my trouble, see
I suffer from they who hate
Me, your rescue from death's gate
That I may show all your praise
For you by grace me up raise
I will show praise in city
Jerusalem true it be
Enemies are sunk in pit
That they have made, and this fit
Their feet caught in their own net
They o'ercome me you not let
The Lord is known by judgement
Which He works, which He has sent
Wicked are snared in what they
Do work by their hands today
This be a meditation
In Hebrew, a higgaion
The Lord will help, have mercy
Set us from enemies free

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 7.7.7.7. A Higgaion for you! (Hebrew for 'meditation'). The hymn is for Ch...... season, I think. Can't say the word until December, or Goldie will shoot me!
