Remember me yesterday
For today I am here now
And tomorrow that is yet to come
To you I am unknown
Like drifting sands
I never rest
Or settle where I want
I go where the currents
Of time take me
Forever, on and on

My comments on the poem “Drifting sands” by Saxon Crow
You speak of the currents taking you along. See the poem “The brook” by Tennyson.
“I chatter, chatter, as I flow
To join the brimming river,
For men may come and men may go,
But I go on forever.”
--Alfred Tennyson (1709-1892) : “The brook.”
As a poet, you go on forever…

Many thanks for your kind response Soman. I have just read The Brook. A lovely piece of poetry. It's shameful to admit but I very rarely read any poetry. Clearly my loss!
May that journey never end and be filled with joy and love.
Andy
The journey is the journey GF. And there's a line for a poem. See you tomorrow!
Good write SC.
It reminds me - I can never find 'tomorrow'. When it gets here, it's always 'today'. Doh! Strange that! lol.
I can't say I know more than a smattering of Tennyson myself.
It is a bit confusing isn't Orchi. What's ridiculous is that we try to measure it! I thought Tennyson was a type of saw
Oh lol - tenon saw! 24 hours to a day. How did you spend that extra second we had a few years ago? Hope you didn't spend it all at once! heehee.
