Book Life.

Goldfinch60

We open the book of life at childbirth,

That first chapter brings us into our world,

A world where our parents love us

And where they teach us the ways to go.

As each chapter unfolds we see new things

Bringing us knowledge and experience.

Some of those chapters are sad

And bring us unhappiness in our life.

We have chapters that are happy

And bring love and glory to us.

Many of them can be exciting

Bringing us wonder and glorification.

One thing we must always remember,

Is to remember to turn the page,

As if you never do we will never know,

Never know what the next chapter holds.

I find this such a comforting poem dear friend. I just spent the afternoon sorting through old photos for an upcoming family reunion and relived so many chapters of my life as well as my family's. Your choice of music also hit my heart, it was the song played at my wedding in "73. Just superb Andy!

Thank you Bella, memories are important in our lives.

That song is one that I play frequently on the clarinet, it is a fabulous tune.

          Beautiful!
          and that 'always penetrating' song
          makes for a most poignant
          accompaniment to your wise words
          thank you! Andy

            Most kind Mek, thank you.

I like the way you put it .. 'remembering to turn the page'. We can easily get stuck on a page, particularly with trauma in life.

              Thank you Jeremy, much appreciated.
