I walk along the golden sand
Just looking out to sea,
The waves lap gently at my feet
They seem to speak to me.
They tell me of the life I’ve lead
The good things and the bad,.
My life has had much more joy
Than those of which I’m sad
The water reaches out for me
To show my life that’s been,
And still there’s time for me to live
To see wonders never seen.
So as I walk towards my end
Still many years to go,
I walk beside that glorious sea
With joy in what I know.

So true Orchi but we are older than that.

50 million and one years old?
Beautiful poem and wonderful message. That is how I feel when I look upon our vast Lake Michigan. Cannot be sad when looking at such things.
Thank you Christina and so true we just cannot be sad when we are with Nature's beauty.

I like the simple but well-written delivery and the message. It feels nice to read out loud too, which I think is a good test of a poem
So kind Jeremy, thank you.
