The careful creation of the garden of roses
Is not always seen by the cultivator.
It’s in the strength of the roots
That lie deep within the warm, giving earth
That show the strength of the plant;
And the endless care of the grower.
Both plant and planter understand
The desire to bloom.

- Comment from author about the poem: A little different from my usual, but it's quite alright to challenge yourself. If you can imagine it, this 'garden' of mine is full of vibrant yellow roses. Have a lovely day.

My Lord, this poem is so profound and so nuanced that I feel like it’d take me a week to write a thorough analysis…the craziest part, it’s only an octave (eight lines)! Indeed, any poet can write something semi-profound in a page or two, but the art of brevity takes a true genius. I adore this, the final line is the most revitalizing of conclusions: “Both plant and planter understand / The desire to bloom.”
Goodness, I don't know what to say. Thank you! I wasn't feeling very confident posting this, but your words are incredibly kind. I'm so glad it resonated with you.
Good write T.
Many thanks!
