Am I A Joke To You?

HaRoTa

I'm standing... in the void of uncertainty,

Losing my sense of direction,

I walk aimlessly... mindlessly...

Deprived of any reason and purpose,

I became contemptibly hollow...

Where the sky would detest me,

And the abyss would welcome me...

Hope and love have eluded me...

I do not know for how long since...

Battles after battles rage within...

Inflicting wounds that would never heal...

Agonizing pain struck me relentlessly,

Crushing the innocent soul without mercy...

I became a debilitated abomination...

A product of hatred, discrimination,

And all the sentiments of idiocracy...

Will I ever see the light,

In the permanence of darkness that surrounds me?

Is my sanity beyond repair?

Silence... ... ...

Nothing is more deafening than a complete silence...

I laugh till I cry...

For I realized, that I've hit rock bottom...

Now, there is no other way then going up,

God, would you take my hand and pull me up?

  • Comment from author about the poem: You may ask the relevance of the title to the overall narrative of this poem. \r\nOk. Before I wrote this, I saw a picture of a clown. Then \\\'The Joker\\\' came into my mind. I haven\\\'t finished watching the movie yet. Many knows he is the main villain against Batman; the bad guy. However, each one of us has our own story to tell. A secret. How and why, we became who we became. \r\nI imagined, if I\\\'m in his shoes, what would I tell the world, if the world would listen?
