There we were on this fine June day
Walking by Our River,
It clear green depths flowing gently.
We walked beneath the shade of the trees
Avoiding the persistent heat of the sun,
And there we saw them.
The family of swans swimming gently,
Gently up Our River.
A magnificent sight to see,
New life was seen on our earth
Where all we hear about is death.
It was so joyous to be amongst new life
And be so privileged to see it in our world.
We walked on along Our River
A beaming smile on our faces,
Life was good.
