Abandoning The Watchtower

Kurt Philip Behm

Dylan got bitten

hard by fame

and though wounded

continues to tour

A thundering

majesty

in makeup and veils

jesters by the score

Divorced from

his wandering

a pilgrim of dreams

the past too great a cost

A caricature

of genius gone

eyes clouded over

—Camelot lost

I won’t question the opinion you relay as I’m guessing my knowledge of Dylan would not match yours. I’ve come around to Dylan just lately after resisting for years. My first thought, counter to yours , suggests that he has been THAT GUY in an authentic way and perhaps now deserves the grace an Emiratis status might have earned , absent if the usual judgement he willingly subjected to for many years. ????

Bob let the genie out of the bottle and has spent the last 50 years trying to put it back in. I’m his biggest fan, but you cant say what you mean and not embody what you say.

    Thanks for reading.
