Simple in its extraordinary-ness
Made of metal
Not meant to break
Meant to unlock wonderful worlds.
With its lushes notches and grooves
This key can be a multitool for the lazy
A key for the ordinary
And a weapon for the defenseless.
A key is no ordinary thing
you see.
It can come in many shapes
Sizes
Colors
And hold unimaginable uses
Use a key wisely,
Because it is more impressive than it lets on.

My comments on the poem "The ordinary key” by MEM.
Some quotes :
‘Hearts, like doors, will open with ease
To very, very little keys.
And don’t forget that two of these
Are “I thank you” and “If you please” ‘

Keys can lock someone in or out. The smallest key can open the biggest door. There are keys to success, keys to freedom… The biggest door is useless without a lock or a bolt. That lock is useless without a key or its equivalent.
