Love a bit of Smokey. Glad you enjoyed that line, I enjoyed writing it. Although this was written while watching A star is born 😆 so it's not autobiographical.
But the real question is which one?
W James Mason ? Judy Garland ? Barbra? Or that snooze fest w Bradley and Gaga? If it’s that one then lie to me and say it’s not??
It's not...😳. Haha, to be fair, I was challenging myself to write a better lyric than the main song, that's why it follows the same pattern. Then again maybe I should aim higher than beating "shalalalalalalaow"
The song had merit and that makes sense for me. Smokey got me thru those trying to kiss a girl in the back seat years. Though most know of him most don’t really understand how big his body of work was and how influential he is. Crazily underrated and I’m always trying to showcase his luster.
