Romans 15 v.9-13

Jews and Gentiles in the gospel

Nations may partake free, all

Gentiles too included, that they

Glorify God, His mercy

 

For there be Scriptures so written

And they did prophesy then

Such as, "For this cause I confess

You, Lord, midst Gentiles, them bless" (1)

 

Confess, sing to your name among

The Gentiles, let praise be sung

And, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles

All people His lauding tell" (2)

 

And Isiaah says, "There shall be

A root of Jesse, and He

A descendant of David be

Shall rise, rule o'er Gentiles, see" (3)

 

And in Him shall the Gentiles trust

Though Jews, Gentiles, made from dust

And now  the God of hope fill you

With all joy and peace anew

 

All joy and peace in believing

That you may here, receiving

Abound in hope through the power

Of the Spirit every hour
