quick and quiet observer, notation creation
it’s me little black book with me poems in it
there’s disconnection, i quiet observer
i see my friends and my family and my rejection
quick and quiet my life logged with permanence
i watched a watch count time blind, why?
stuck in shut the fuck up.
i know what i saw was progression.

I mostly just didn’t understand or grasp any of it.
bobby do you like pink floyd?
Not even a little.
makes sense, peace be with you jazz man
I compliment the way you stay with Gracious. I’m reminded of a Mikes Davis interaction w a reporter from Rolling Stone.
In the late sixties Jazz again was temporarily chic right when the newly published mag was establishing its foundational credibility..
Their top reporter started the interview w Miles with a bunch of questions about Rock. Asking Miles what he thought about Led Zepelin , Pink Floyd , The Who, and several others. To each, Miles responded “ they a’ right”.. the writer took offense , stating that these were amongst the greatest ever rock bands and was critical of the lukewarm responses. Miles got mad, stood up and pounded his fist on the table saying
“It’s like this Mothetfucker, you play that Shit for me and in just 20 minutes I will bring you a cat that will play it Exact, then I’ll play John Coltrane for you , and I’ll give you a year”!!
The moral is Rock fans choose to wallow in plain mediocrity forced fed by a system not based on the merit of prodigious talent. It’s analogous to a Basketball fan only watching Bill Lambeer or Andre Ayton or JR Smith never aware the only system they know makes enough money stuffing mediocrity down their throats And that Rock acts like he knows Hoops even though he doesn’t even know about Michael Jordan. It’s funny how that fan keeps so many clueless. I see Rock as just a bunch of people that don’t know thatbTHEY DONT KNOW.

for sure, thats a stance, ive loved miles davis for a long time and think ive seen the interview you mention but i only brought up floyd since the album the wall is often a source of inspiration i can easily relay to people for my more abstract work. art is so fun, and how we all engage and communicate about it is art itself.
Makes sense.
