Continual Contentment

Tune: Albano

('Behold, dear Lord, we come again'

= 'Once, only once, and once for all')

Philippians 4 v.11-13

*******

Lord, help us learn, whatever state

We be in, it not fate

But your appointing, what you deign

In your continual reign

In whatever state there to be

Our lot contentedly

Whether abased, living humbly

Or abound prosperously

Every where and in all things learn

And to acceptance turn

Whether we full or hungry be

Abounding or needy

So to find that in Christ we can

Trust him, the Son of Man

Can do all things through Him who gives

Us strength, and each one lives

I thought ya meant Narnia. You can beat an egg, as you say, but it beats me how a lion, witch, and wardrobe can go together!
