Just Desserts and No Pudding
it is so very true
of course
that I once loved
each inch of you ..
indeed,
everything about
you darling ..
each fresh
and fine new line ..
every single
sculptured curve
and then some ..
and although I did
taste every morsel
and ecstasized
over every portion ..
in the end
my love, it seems
we both got
what we deserved ..

True love is very much like that Neville, that ecstasy over every portion is so wonderful.
Andy
You have such good taste sir .. thanks, yours truly 🙂
Good write N.
I 'tasted' KP. Tasted like an old trout! Well, looked like one anyway. heehee.
I swear I saw a red dot on your forehead when I came by to check on you Mr. O .. I would be careful I have heard she wants to turn you into a draught excluder or summat useful ............. 🐭
Heehee - but I want pudding now! Aww, why they serve me black pudding?! lol.
just desserts, eh?
too much sweetness, as a curse
rotting our teeth and emboldening
our love handles..
lol
loving the wordplay, a great write Hyung
a fun read as well
(or maybe that's just me)
Nah' not just you brother M .. we are in the same boat .. and as for love handles .. come on, get a grip my good man ..
lol
I think a decent percentage of my happiness
comes from just knowing someone like you
thinks me worthy of your time and uplifting
support, I cherish the day fate afforded me
your presence in my life, thank you Hyung
may you n yours, ever - stay blessed
A wonderful poem....so descriptive and brings such fun times to mind.....Great one
if this little scribble is responsible for bringing fun times to your mind dear C, then the whole thing is worthwhile and I am a happy Brit 🙂
LOL there is a huge irony I get from your words, no winners in love that's for sure. ❤️ Sometimes just sour grapes. Wonderfully written.
Don'tcha just luv sour grapes n cherries ..🍇🍒 Cheers Teddy 🙂
i feel as though there is a story behind this that we are not seeing- i'm curious what the love thinks about what occured :))
You know it's a good poem when someone wants to turn it into a story.
you are quite write Joan there is a delicious tale that both inspired and underpins this little scribble but of course, a gentleman never tells .. thanks for noticing and for your ongoing support 🙂
