Leaving Today.

Goldfinch60

The day has come,

That day when we will leave,

Leave our haven by the sea,

A place where we have walked,

Walked the beach of time

With the sea of eternity by us.

A place where our love shines

And all around can see,

Can see the love between us.

We will be back

As we often are,

But now we are going,

We are going home,

Home, that so special place

Where we live,

Live in love and wonder

Every day of our lives.

My lovely wife and me just left the coast of Maine to head back to our comfy abode. This one resonates.

A welcome return from me, changing the air and vision does wonderful things for the soul but when there is someone special beside us holidays are the best. ❤️

That somebody special is always with me Teddy and we had a wonderful time away.

i appreciate that leaving is not seen as a bad thing- rather something that allows you to return home and leaving home is not bad either, as you clearly love the sea. a beautiful piece that brought a smile to my face 🙂

Thank you Joan, that smile is with us as well.
