When Thinking Upon a Lemon Tree
Take note of the
lemon tree
beside the gate ..
Above
the hosta’s
in a pot ..
Those, near the
table
where we ate ..
Yes it is
the little things,
like this
and like that ..
Adjacent
to the balcony
upon which
we fucked ..
On balmy nights
such as this, I still
do care to remember ..

I do enjoy a lemon dressing - or in this case undressing. Nice one Neville.

Glory days
Yeah
They pass us by....
and oh' so very fast indeed .. thanks for visiting my little scribble, I am most grateful to you 2781 🙂
Why is that?
Dear Neville,
When I see…
When I read…
About lemons…
Or lemon trees…
I think of Capri…
Capri…
…part of my dolce vita.❣️
Laura🌻
I can relate to that Laura, I think the very first time I saw lemons growing was either on Capri, Anacapri or Ischia (not sure of my spelling) the sight and of course the smell is still with me so very many years later .. Thank you for being responsible for my brief but oh' so beautiful bright yellow flashback .. 🌻🍋🌻🍋🌻 🙂
My pleasure ☺️🍋🌻
Reminds me of the south of italy, lemons galore 🤗
... I know, aren't they gorgeous to look at 🍋🍋🍋 🙂
lemon has always been a word that inspires memory for me- why? absolutely no idea, but your poem has me reminiscing. love it as usual
You just made an old fella very happy .. 🍋🍒🎶🎵
that lemon tinged, risqué
of poetry's sensuality... lol
(somehow
bright colours and enticing scents
tend to anchor us to our memories)
wonderfully executed Hyung
I relate (although maybe not
the lemon tree part, my life's
never been that idyllic.. lol)
there's plenty of time left yet brother Mek .. and anyway, many tend to have dreadful thorns .. thank you regardless .. Neville
