What Of Love?

Teddy.15

If the rain can wash away

all my ugly memories

can the sun really bring the light?

and if the wind can blow away

all my bad dreams

leaving me with joyful ones at night

could I begin to live once more?

the way I did once live?

or is it true

that just because

my dreams may now be sweet

that of our love was never meant

and that now...

I live with

triumph not defeat?

the image that heads this page reminds me of a famous balcony in Verona .. the fine words that sit beneath it .. remind me of just how much I love this art we share .. 🌹

Yes I chose a painting of Juliet well done for noticing, Nev, you know I can never do love without the dramatics lol hugs my dear friend.

Jeanne and I visited Verona and saw Aida - magical memories and - yes we saw the balcony. Poetically a real fine write to be proud of.

to love or not love, that is
            what nightmares are born, of
            indecision as our fallibility
a heart's volition as our vindication
we strive to infuse hope in every
            choice, knowing
our scars are yet to callous
and our tears, still feel wet
on our cheeks, dear brave Poetess
            but we dare, and validate
            that intuitive need to believe
            and entrust, in a love
            we're promised by the very
            pulse, in this
            our one and most romantically
            finite, life...

LOL isn't it wonderfully painful at times 😂 ❤️

              • L. B. Mek

                bittersweet, yet an addictive taste
most can't get enough of, I fear
