Terra firma

shadowbones

Mother earth's beauty

Shrouded in doubt

Glorious leaf

Plucked effortless

Do we really reap the benefit

Mindlessly ingesting sustenance

Consuming animals for survival

If we go on

The magnificent man

Forgot where he was

Taste of blood

Raw meat

Slaughter of dreams

Trees guarded in bark

Beauty of endurance

Held without conception

The resilient are forgotten

Why, then man do you think?

The resilient are forgotten. A freaking great line that serves as a demarcation thrusting a great phrasing forth w a grin born of power.
Nice write good read. Bones in the shadow no longer!!

Thank you Bobby! You are correct about coming forth with bones (adam). The healing now begins. My intent was to write something beautiful. I think you got the message. My pain not heartier then yours however still valid. Much love

Bob Weir is a great musician. I too am one. You might enjoy my music..

You may or may not enjoy it. I think it has value to you because I assume you like classic rock!

        • Bobby O

I’m gonna listen. But I am an exception. I spend much energy avoiding classic rock. It’s just fiesta hit my ear, too many mediocre musicians are able to thrive , it’s just not self policed and the whole money thing started to drive the music after the authenticity of the Beatles broke hallowed ground. Next time the Eagles play a song worth listening to it’ll be there first. Bitchy woo man lost in some hotel on the side of town that cheats.

I gave it a listen. In general I think it’s guitars that I barely can tolerate. It’s just me. I give you props for getting out there w your talent.

            • shadowbones

I am attracted to guitar because it's a relatively simple instrument. People gravitate towards simplicity in music (classic rock). Agreed. Suitable platform to get my message out there. Do I think moonlight sonata is more complicated music and requires more talent, yes of course. Does it say more to the audience? No, not consciously, more interpersonal thoughts. Not interested in that right now I guess. Appreciate your viewpoint- put things in perspective for me. Never thought of myself as highly intelligent, just intellectual.

I’m the guy that’s way off here. I realize I’m dancing almost alone. And I often exaggerate my point. Beside the Fab Four , I like The Kinks, Queen, 3 Dog Night, Credence , Rare Earth, Janis, Jimi , Ides of March, C, S ,N, & Y. Burton Cummings, The ones that most people get mad at me for fussing them are the Eagles and the Doors. I tolerate most of the rest I guess. That Memphis Soul, TSOP, and deep R&B (Sam, Al, Staples, Wilson, etc along With lots of Miles, Monk, and Trane, Sonny, Herbie and lots of horn based Jazz monsters. Just ignore me I’m kinda just in the contrary habit and like pick on Rock. And man, I have pissed people off. It’s a childish hobby.

I've had more childish hobbies ha ha. I like all those bands except 2. The doors are literally my fav band (not kidden). You are welcome to endulge you hobby on me as a punching bag. I don't think I will get sensitive lol.

Joy to the world. The animals that harm.. also keep us warm at night

Wow ! It wouldn’t change a friendship for me but I would be teasing when I could , like is it true, this is serious question , that Morrison shoved a dry sponge in his mouth to create that unique fucking nobody could understand his mumbles vocal style? The one thing I did like about him was how he defied the sensors on the Ed Sullivan appearance. Props for that , sponge and all.

Pretty mild as far as public self mutilation goes. Jim was quoted saying something like "I want to spread fear" also, he was known to be a womanizer... thats all perception anyways, and I dislike dry stuff on my tongue. I am very kind to women in general and my intended interest is making people follow one simple rule, "think before you complain". Don't care about inspiring hope or fear. Hendrix's Burning his fender on stage is a bolder statement in my mind

I also heard he became "at attention" on stage. I don't remember it tho (88' child).. would have loved to see Pink play with Syd Barrett.
