If You Leave

Roselyn

if you leave

the way you say so harshly that you must

i hope that when you leave

it is never faltering

it is so undeniably certain

it is so encompassing that you must

because if you leave

what would be left

a shell of everything i thought i knew

of everything i thought to be

...

you see the danger the oh so danger of such a love of ours

is it so encompassing

so overpowering

addictive

inspring

justifiably cruel

so if you leave

leave

and i beg don't ever look back

because i'll be here waiting

waiting for the sun to rise

waiting for the moon to fall

waiting for the leaves to change

for the reason of suffering

is a season of forgiveness

of regrets

of sorrow

a season i cannot bear

The words touch so gently, and the honesty is so vulnerable. Written from the heart. An endearing write. Kudos to you. ❤
