The backwards man can
Go backwards fast as you can
This isn't a scene by Tom Green
Not a film on the TV screen
As real as it gets
So sick of the fake politics and false prophets
Stuffing their faces with baguettes and making broken promises
Will things soon get better or stay on the path of being worse?
All is going in reverse like a pre-written curse

I saw a guy walking backwards with two bags of shopping - true. erm, was he practising for The Annual Walking Backwards marathon? lol.
Reverse is the nice way of describing it. I like this piece my friend.

progression as our sainted regression
devouring the new, as we implode
cursed for dismissing, what we knew
armies for space missions
while blowing ourselves up, diving
for history's titanic wreckages..
as if the summer heat wasn't bad enough
Europe burns, because of a fck'd up
cop
still, a new election
and all will be ok for a few days
right!
yeah, if my words sound hollow
it's because I checked out
of hoping for humanity's salvation
a long time ago
now I just lament, like adding branches
to a a guy fawkes bonfire in July
and feeling like it's a better fit
than those 4th of july fireworks
