Tune: Hursley

('Sun of my soul, thou Saviour dear')

Psalm 119 v.145-152

********

I cried to the Lord with my whole

Heart, hear me, keep me, body, soul

And spirit, I will your laws keep

Enfold me, Shepherd, I your sheep

I cried to the Lord, Save me, I

Shall keep your laws, retain them nigh

I rose before the dawning day

Seeking you closely, and id pray

I called for help, hoped in your word

Trusting that you my prayers have heard

I also woke throughout the night

To meditate in your word's light

Hear my voice according unto

Your loving-kindness, me renew

Revive me, show your just judgement

Holy and right with good intent

They draw near that mischief follow

They far from your law, it not know

You are near, Lord, all your commands

Are truth, for ever each one stands

Concerning your testimonies

I have know of old as you please

You have founded them for ever

Your words, O Lord, do fail never
