While pastels are always so very easy on the eye ..

I like to see things more precisely nowadays ..

Maybe that’s why I seldom look the other way ..

A beautifully composed poem and how very true the older we get the more we see the true colours as they really are and moreover accept this. Brilliant Nev. ❤️

                Brilliant!
(perception as a conduit to our volition
                so often, we're pushed
to look the other way, acting ignorant
                so we can avoid reprisals
living like we're on a rotary of fate
                knowing eventually
we'll soon be facing life's heat
                strife as all we scope
                sunglasses at night, heads lowered
                masked like we're thieving
                each breath
but some, brave enough like you
                dear Poet supreme
ink with passion to remind us, that
                its never too late
to traverse life, staring down the bul sht
and seeing things for what they are
                allowing our choices
to be more than automated outputs
for all the sht they cram
down our eyes and ears, every day
                of this endless fight
                we named, a life...)
