Sunlight To Rain.

Goldfinch60

Bathed in sunlight

We stepped onto the lawn,

Struck four croquet balls

Towards the hoops.

Bathed in pouring rain

We rushed off the lawn,

Jumped in our cars

And went home!

The juxtaposition Butch and your croquet tickled my funny bone no end.

Also thanks for the reminder of that movie.

Did you know it used to be called β€œcrooky”? Low impact exercise! Lol

            • Goldfinch60

It may be low impact exercise Liz but I have been in competitions where I have stood on croquet lawns for seven hours.

Sorry the rain came and stopped play, but it did inspire this poem and well remembered movie clip. Thank you my friend.
