Remaining Rejoicing

orchidee

Tune: Southcote

('One more step along the road I go')

Parts of Psalms 33, 34, 35

***********

Rejoice in the Lord, O You righteous

He will come to you and will you bless

Praise is comely for those who

Are upright, and who seek Him they do

Chorus

Sing to Him a new song

Sing it day, night long

Skilfully with loud noise in the throng

Let all the earth the Lord now here fear

He does keep His sheep, they to Him dear

Let the world's inhabitants

Stand in awe of Him in His presence - Chorus

O come magnify the Lord with me

Exalted sure now let His name be

I sought the Lord, and He heard

Delivered me from fears, what disturbed - Chorus

The Lord's eyes upon the righteous are

Open, He is near them, and not far

His ears open to their cry

They to Him will go, for refuge fly - Chorus

The Lord near to them of broken heart

He will aid them, heal in every part

And saves those who surely be

Of contrite spirit, He does them see - Chorus

My soul shall be joyful in the Lord

He will help according to His word

Rejoice in His salvation

My soul's state be joy and elation - Chorus
