As Yet Unfurnished

Neville

As Yet Unfurnished

Oh’ so carelessly

discarded

still warm to the  touch

and likewise strewn

with such magnificent

abandon

across the well-trod

parquet polished floor

of our much used,

yet otherwise ..

Still secret, rented room ..

          erm, so Hyung
sometimes I just read your title and then
lose control of my fingers for a bit
          inspired
to try and scribble a little poetic reply
since I so relate with your words
          thank you!
          (replete, with our youthful zeal
lust inspiring us to love without handbrakes
          we were young
all we chased was a place
          for us to embrace
          and cuddle, all night
          since, climbing out
of the toilet window to evade capture
got old, after one rainy weekend
          so now
we trace Time, in a finger caress
          with that ease of mind
yeah, it's a lot of money
when between us, we can barely
          pay the rent
          let alone the bills, but
the memories we made, in that
          very first place, we both
got to call our own, even for just
a while, lasted us a lifetime
          dear, first love..
and yes i still remember it all
          like it was yesterday
wine n dining you on tuna sandwiches
          and cheap strawberry wine
          making your lips, taste
a little more sweet, with every sip
          I remember it all
          no regrets
just mementos I cherish, with pride
          knowing how lucky I was
that it was you I got to share
          those moments with)

yeah, reading your poetry is an extreme sport for me
no parachute just diving in ink, deeper than Yorkshire pudding..
ahem.. 'and dats all i gotsa a say bout daaat'
              😁
🍾πŸ₯‚ cheers Mr newly minted Grandad
How was the first week wearing that heavyweight belt Hyung

The thought of a secret room is so beguiling, where the fantasies of your heart are safe and await. Love it!
