Scars

Miss_Dreamer

They say the past can't hurt me
And so I wonder why it is
That my memories come with daggers
Scaring me with their ragged edges
As they, I, slice open scars
That have never had the chance to heal

  • Comment from author about the poem: Ptsd and self-harm are a bitch. Be kind and gentle with yourself - you didn't deserve what happened to you and your body doesn't deserve to be punished for it
