Inventive to make the title be your first stanza-like the ambivalence in this poem-

yeah, some rejections are brutal
I was scarred for life
when the first girl I approached
decided to elucidate
she rejected me, because i was
'TOO', ugly.... 🤢😌🤕
that T.k.o. still ahs be trying to beat
the eight count of life
words, do tend to sting a little deep
when coming from those
we thought we were connecting with
brutal..

oh well, a good life lesson learnt early
(her name was Emma
we were around 8 or 9, back then
and yes sadly, I met her a decade or so
later
and she was still drop-dead gorgeous
and had a heart of gold, and no
she had no idea who i was...)
my life lesson...
